The Importance of Having a Child Seat in a Four-Wheeler

Since the pandemic's effect has eased down a bit, families started planning long overdue trips with their families. However, with the inception of new variants and younger individuals not getting vaccinated, a majority of the parents prefer travelling by car instead of opting for crowded planes or any other sort of public transportation. If you too are planning to go on a road trip with your family, having a car seat for your child is very important for several reasons. Let's dive a little deeper into why a car seat is important for your child:

WHAT IS A CAR SEAT?
A car seat is a specialized kind of seating chair designed especially for children. These are made up of inexpensive yet durable materials. It ensures that your child remains safe and comfortable throughout the road trip, even if a mishap occurs. These seats are strapped to a seat using seatbelts. The seatbelts hold the car seat steadily and in position. Different varieties of car seats are available in the market, and as per their car, one can opt for the most suitable one.
WHY IS A CAR SEAT IMPORTANT?
As per survey statistics and research results, crashes of motor vehicles occupy the top spot in the list of childhood deaths and injuries. Restraints, as well as child seats, significantly minimize the risk of sustaining injuries by a phenomenal 71% and a whopping reduction of 28% in death cases. Car accidents are very common these days and the factors that contribute to them mainly include reckless driving and poor road conditions.

To truly understand what is the importance of car seats, you need to understand what happens when a car crashes. When it happens, any passenger present inside the car without a seat belt or a child seat will move at the same speed as the vehicle and eventually will be catapulted forward either into the car's dashboard or anywhere depending on the passenger's position. When properly installed and used, child seats or car seats can prove to be life-savers. Statistically speaking, car seats are proven to decrease life-threatening risks by around 71 per cent in the case of infants and around 54 per cent in the case of toddlers.
