Cars, like every other machine, are evolving with time. We have come a very long way from the first car ever made to now having cars that have transcended the use of fossil fuels. As modern vehicles evolve, electric cars are all set to take over the automobile market and are already gaining popularity among environmentally conscious buyers. Here's a look at the trending electric cars of 2022!
Porsche Taycan

Porsche came out with the first Taycan in late 2019 as Porsche's first electric offering. The Taycan has all the classic design elements of a Porsche with a modern touch. The interior of the car is customisable, and is very high tech as expected from a car with a heavy price tag. The Taycan has powerful performance numbers with fast charging and a range of over 500 km.
Tesla Model 3

Tesla cars have created their distinct space in the market, leaning more on the tech aspects of the car while nailing the fundamentals of the mechanical side. Model 3 is the cheapest car in Tesla's line-up, and yet it doesn't skimp on any of the features in a Tesla. It has an acceptable range and top speed for daily use with fast charging capabilities on Tesla's supercharger network. Model 3 was the most sold electric car of 2021, and its sales aren't slowing down anytime soon.

The car is packed with the latest technology on the inside while still giving a familiar feel with its exteriors. It also offers the performance of a Mustang and even comes in a GT trim for the enthusiasts.

Being the latest all-electric model in Audi's huge line-up of cars, the Audi e-tron GT has its unique character and performance which is on par with the Taycan. Audi has made this car for the future judging by the latest tech that this beauty comes equipped with. The big price tag is justified by the features and feel of the car.

Nissan Leaf is the world's first mass marketed electric car. It has been around for more than a decade and is said to have paved the way for modern electric cars. The Leaf had amazing features for that time and an affordable price range to suit commercial sales. It had acceptable performance for a first-generation EV, which has improved significantly with succeeding models of the car. It has sold over half a million units till date.
EV's are the future and they come with many advantages over fossil fuel-powered cars. The demand for EV's is still in its initial stages and shows increase with time and awareness. Such cars are still expensive to buy but with the evolution of EV technology and government support we will should be able to spot several EVs running on our roads in the future.
