Why Alpine Could Fight For The F1 World Title in 2022?

Considering the F1 grid, it can be stated that Alpine is one of the crucial cases. The French team is based in the UK. It has been through some upheaval in the coming times with the departure of the team captain – Marcin Budkowski in 2022 (January) alongside the rebranding from Renault to Alpine in between 2022 to 2022, which will get altered the team's perception. However, the 2021 campaign has really been really amazing that consolidated the fifth position it took in the year 2022 championship. Additionally, it also took an exciting victory at Hungarian Grand Prix with Esteban Ocon.
While hearing the teams mentioned being in contention for top-notch positions this year, Alpine does not get considered in it. You can hear about Aston Martin, McLaren, Ferrari bounded around as the teams that may make the jump. But it seems Alpine is the least anticipated one. But things might be wrong on the front. Even Alpine has chances as the midfield rivals do to make the jump up the overall competitive order, though they may also require working harder than others to accomplish the goal.

Drivers at the Alpine's Disposal
The most recognizable assets of this Alpine team are the drivers. The team features Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon. Considering the year 2021, many facers were unsure how strong the lineup that would have been. Ocon already endured a solid turn against Daniel Ricciardo, though he had been closer to Australia during the season's end.
In spite of having raced in the other categories as he 'retired' from 2018's F1, Alonso was never anticipated to relive the "glory days" of the previous stint when they won a total of 2 world titles as the Renault.
However, the reality couldn't have been any further away from the truth. Ocon was showing up Alonso initially before Spaniard found the feet again. And that made Ocon's fortuitous yet well-earned win the highlight of the year. This incident happened in Hungary, although other standalone performances also came in Qatar, particularly from Alonso, where he just finished third. In Ocon (Saudi Arabia), he was unlucky to lose the third to Valtteri Bottas. Alpine have the utmost confidence that the driver that pair can achieve it successfully.

An Operation That's Well-Designed
In spite of having just the 5th fastest car on the basis of the championship position, Alpine did a remarkable job. And it just goes without saying that they didn't have the 5thfastest car on pace, with Alpha Tauri being a bit quicker car than others. But there were some problems that Alpha Tauri had: it just had Pierre Gasly performing the massive hitting point scoring while Yuki Tsunoda floundered in the rookie season. Alonso and Ocon became a remarkable oiled machine, capable of bagging some excellent points, particularly towards the year's end.
The team as the whole appeared to have operated really well. It got a strategy right with Alonso to net him the first-ever podium ever since 2014. As a matter of fact, it also did the same with the P6 finishes of Alonso in Russia as well as the Netherlands. However, if it was not for late rain increasing, Alonso might have ended up on a podium in the next race. Upon understanding the type of car the team had on the hands, Alpine performed consistently and impressively.

An Arrival of A Competent Team Captain
Alpine's loss of Budkowski wasn't really ideal. But this doesn't appear like they would be without the team captain for long. Aston Martin revealed just a few days ago that Otmar Szafnauer will be departing from the team. This followed months of speculation that Szafnauer would leave the Silverstone team to lead the Alpine F1 team along with Davide Brivio.
While the rumors have not been proven, this appears to be the case. Szafnauer has extensive F1 experience & understand how to operate a team, having previously led Aston Martin via the guises of Racing Point and Force India. Alpine may have sacrificed a really good team captain, but they have gained a fine one in exchange.
F1 2022's Prominent Signs
The one and only thing that may disrupt Alpine's progress in 2022 is indecent. But no one understands who will win and who will lose; it is just that the automobiles are so different today from what they used to be last year. Williams might find themselves in front unexpectedly, while Mercedes could find themselves bogged in the midfield. Alpine, contrarily, has so much going for them in relation to other components. A fantastic driver combination, an excellent race operation, and an experienced team manager are said to be joining them shortly. Keep an eye out for Alpine since they may catch you with a surprise.
