You Can Buy These Value For Money Used Motorcycles In India Under Rs. 50,000
Key Highlights
  • Buying a used motorcycle seems like a very clever move.
  • Under the Rs. 50,000 bracket has plethora of motorcycles to choose from.
  • We list out a few of these budget motorcycles available in India

Over the years, the two-wheeler market has been flooded with options, as motorcycle enthusiasts love to explore and ride new bikes; however, they may not be pocket-friendly at all, even if they do earn you many likes and shares on social media. On the other hand, you may have reservations about buying a used motorcycle as it certainly doesn´t sound very cool and hip. At least, that´s what we have all been conditioned to think. But times are changing and getting a used motorcycle seems like a very clever move, and if you get one within a budget, then nothing like it. We list out a few of these budget motorcycles, under Rs. 50,000 to be specific, and what will they fetch in the used-motorcycle market.

2018 Hero Splendor Plus Kick Alloy 100cc

The 2018 Hero Splendor Plus Kick Alloy 100cc is a mileage bike powered by 97.2cc engine which develops 7.91 bhp and torque of 8.05 Nm, mated with a four-speed gearbox. With both front and rear drum brakes, Hero Splendor Plus comes up with a combined braking system of both wheels. This Splendor Plus bike weighs 110kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 9.8 litres.

The 2018 Hero Splendor Plus Kick Alloy 100cc is one of the perfect options for those who desire a commuter with great mileage.

Apart from being Hero Motocorp's best-selling product, the Splendor Plus also comes in self-start with alloy wheels and i3S variants. The 2018 Hero Splendor Plus Kick Alloy 100cc is one of the perfect options for those who desire a commuter with great mileage. If you can ignore the fact that this is not as feature-loaded as others in the segment, then this is the perfect option for you, that too within a budget.

Price Now: Rs. 30,839 – Rs. 32,747

2018 Hero Splendor i3S

A product almost synonymous with proficiency and consistency, the Hero Splendor is by far the most fuel-efficient motorcycle in India, returning a claimed 102.5kmpl. The triple-digit figure certainly sounds unbelievable, but the efficiency was achieved by combining the 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with the manufacturer's i3S or Idle Start-Stop system.

A first for two-wheelers, the technology would turn off the engine when the bike is idle for a few seconds and restart it again once the clutch lever is pressed. With the engine already being an efficient one, the Splendor i3S broke records with minimal fuel consumption.

Price Now: Rs. 32,094 – Rs. 34,079

2010 Bajaj Discover 100

In the market since 2004, the Bajaj Discover moniker has been hugely successful in the Indian market before the company pulled the plug on it, due to numerous other models being introduced under the brand. The Discover was also the second Bajaj motorcycle, after the Pulsar, to feature six-spoke alloys and the patented "Exhaus-TEC”, which was essentially a resonator to boost torque at lower rpms.

It also employed the Bajaj trademark "DTS-i" Digital Twin Spark Ignition Technology used in the Bajaj Pulsar 150 and 180 DTS-i. After the success, the company launched a 100 cc version to the range, with a DTS-Si engine, which also spawned the 150 cc version, that replaced the 135 cc variant.

Price Now: Rs. 9,094 – Rs. 9,657

2017 TVS Apache RTR 160 Front Disc

The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V version has been in the market since 2007, available in Disc and Drum brake variants. It was also decently handsome with beast-inspired headlamps, race-inspired digital-analog display, LED tail lamp, sharp tank cowl, muscled engine cowl, muscled tail cowl, and tank scoops. Additionally, it also featured a single-channel Super-Moto ABS unit that controls the braking system while racing while offering razor-sharp feedback.

Hero Splendor Plus Self Start Drum Brake Alloy Wheel BS-VI

Targeted at semi-urban markets, the Hero Splendor Plus again features in our list, but this time in its self-start drum brake alloy wheel BS-VI avatar. The engine makes 7.91 bhp @ 8,000 rpm along with 8.05 Nm @ 6,000 rpm, coupled with a 4-speed gearbox.

Price Now: Rs. 31,879 – Rs. 33,851

2018 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic

It is powered by a 149 cc single-cylinder unit that makes 14 bhp @ 8,000 rpm and 13.4 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm while retaining the chassis, gearbox, suspension, and brakes from the standard Pulsar 150 sibling.
