Zontes 350GK Revealed In Latest Patent Filings

- Zontes is known for its range of 312 cc touring and adventure motorcycles
- Zontes is a China-based motorcycle brand with limited presence overseas
- The Zontes 350GK will have similar power as the KTM 390 Duke
Chinese motorcycle brand Zontes is getting ready with a new 350 cc single-cylinder platform, that will have its first model as the scrambler-inspired street bike. The Zontes 350GK, as it will be called, has now been revealed in design patents, which give a good enough idea of the production version, although the design was showed in official renders earlier this year. What is interesting is the new 350 cc platform, which includes the engine, frame and suspension, which is likely to be used on a range of other motorcycles from the Chinese firm.

The Zontes 350GK will feature a neo-retro, urban scrambler design, with a distinctive, round, LED headlight
The Zontes 350GK follows a neo-retro, urban-scrambler design. Even the headlight looks like the circular LED headlight used in the Husqvarna Svartpilen and Vitpilen models, with a horizontal strip separating the low and high-beam units. The modern scrambler look is evident, but the Zontes has its own unique style, with the body panels, including the fuel tank, seat and bellypan all distinctively original.

The bike will feature the signature stacked exhausts on the right side, seen in most of the Zontes 310 bikes
Like most of the bikes from Zontes, the 350GK also features the stacked twin exhausts on the right side. In terms of performance, the 350 cc single us expected to make around 42 bhp, which will make the Zontes 350 at par with the KTM 390 Duke. So far though, only the final design patents have been issued, and we expect to see the production model pretty soon. However, like the rest of the Zontes range, there are no plans of introducing the new 350GK in India anytime soon.

The Zontes 350GK is expected to be unveiled in production form later this year, but chances of the brand making its debut in India are next to none.
Zontes is based in Guangdong, China and is a subsidiary of Tayo Motorcycle Technology Co Ltd. The brand specialises in manufacturing small displacement motorcycles, step-throughs and scooters, although the brand is well-known for its 312 cc range of bikes, which are also exported to a few European markets, as well as Latin America.
