Audi Restarts Operations In Gurugram With A New Dealer

The northern region has been the largest market for Audi in India and Gurugram has been the integral part of it going by the prominence of the 'four-ring' badge in the city. However, for the last six months, the German carmaker wasn't operational in the market pertaining to a fraud committed by the previous dealers. But Audi India has now resumed operations in Gurugram and has given the franchise to new dealers- Kristan Auto who will be retailing Audi cars in Gurugram and will be taking care of the aftersales service for Audi now onwards.
Kristan Auto has taken over the same facility and has re-opened the Udyog Vihar based service facility in Gurugram. Speaking on the opening of the new facility, Rahil Ansari, Head- Audi India said, "Audi Gurugram will cater to what has been traditionally our largest market in India. The Northern part of India is the luxury capital of our country and leads in luxury trends and we are pleased to associate with a hugely experienced team - Kristan Auto, and are confident that together, we will reinforce brand's strong presence in the Delhi NCR market."
The new dealership will again open the market for Audi which will help the German carmaker to garner more volumes which it might have lost after the previous dealership was barred. "With Audi Gurugram workshop, we are expanding our network in the northern region and consolidating our commitment towards giving the best luxury experience to our customers in this region," added Ansari. Audi Gurugram is spread across an area of 48,168 sq. ft and complies with all the standards of technology and workmanship of Audi. The workshop has a capacity to service 45 cars per day in a single shift on a total of 33 bays.
Audi had issued a public notice in September 2018 barring Zenica Cars India who was the previous dealers in Gurugram and parts of Delhi after its owner Rashi Todd was arrested for committing fraud.
