Fiat rolls out 300000th car from its Ranjangaon plant

Highlights
Fiat India Automobiles Ltd (FIAL) rolled out its 3,00,000th unit at its Ranjangaon plant in Pune and the vehicle that marked this milestone was the 2014 Fiat Linea.
The Fiat-Tata joint venture plant at Ranjangaon manufactures products for both companies while also producing petrol and diesel powerplants which we very well know are supplied for Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki vehicles.
Tata and fiat split their sales operations in 2012 and though the word was out that things weren't too great between the two companies, the synergy that they share at the Ranjangaon factory enables them enhance the potential of their vehicles in the market.
It was only last year that the plant had achieved a milestone by producing its 5,00,000th engine and this news will certainly put a smile on the face of Fiat India officials. The FIAL plant is capable of producing 3,50000 engines annually while the production of cars stands at 1,60000 in the same period.
The Ranjangaon plant currently manufactures the the Fiat Linea and Grande Punto and produces a wide range of Tata cars which include Manza, Indica Vista and Indica V2 models. The facility will also be utilized for manufacturing of some of the new products that will be launched in future by both Fiat and Tata Motors.
