Mercedes-Benz India launches the GL63 AMG at Rs. 1.66 crore

Mercedes-Benz India today launched their range topping GL63 AMG at Rs 1.66 Crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The German car manufacturer is keeping its promise to bring the entire AMG range to India and we will see more this year.
The mammoth GL-Class is the latest of the lot to get the full AMG treatment. It comes with a 5.5-litre, twin-turbo, V8 AMG engine with 557bhp and a thumping 760Nm of torque. Mercedes-Benz India says that the GL63 comes with a standard 3 year warranty without any mileage limitations and comes with an additional 4th year of warranty for another Rs 1.7 lakh.
The Mercedes-Benz GL63 is capable of an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph and goes from 0-100kmph in only 4.9 seconds. The GL63 AMG comes with an all-wheel-drive 4-Matic system and a 40:60 split in power delivery between the front and rear wheels.

The V8 engine comes mated to the AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-TRONIC gearbox and then there is the AMG ride control sports suspension with the Airmatic package that consists of special damper struts, active damping system and an active rollbar stabilization.
The exterior sees a new AMG grille with high-gloss black slats and large air damps on the front apron. At the rear end, the Mercedes-Benz GL63 gets a larger, sportier bumper with the trademark AMG quad-pipe exhaust pipe setup.
The GL 63 AMG is just the beginning and Mercedes-Benz will launch the A45, CLA45, CLS63 and the ML63 AMG in the coming months. The new cars along with that are the CLA and the new C-Class. It is going to be a busy schedule for Mercedes this year and there is a lot to expect.
