Choices in the family electric scooter market are proliferating, with the
latest addition to the segment being the Rizta, the first mass-oriented e-scooter from
Ather Energy. It faces a challenge from the Nexus, also launched in 2024 by Greaves
Electric’s Ampere, which is desperate to find its footing in the electric two-wheeler
business. Can the Nexus come close to – or possibly better – a scooter that has a lot
riding on its broad shoulders? Amaan Ahmed delivers the verdict.
