Former Tata Sons Chairman Cyrus Mistry passed away on September 4, 2022, in an accident near Mumbai. The untimely death of the business head has been a shock for the corporate sector but it's also raised points about road safety and the need to wear seatbelts at the front and back. In light of the same, Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, tweeted the need to wear seatbelts in a vehicle, saying "we owe it to our families." According to recent reports, early investigations reveal that Mistry was not wearing a seatbelt when the car crashed after the driver lost control of the speeding vehicle. Officials said that the curtain airbags did not open for Cyrus Mistry and Jahangir Pandole since both occupants were not wearing their respective seatbelts.
