2014 Maruti Swift Facelift - How Different Will it be?

India's top-selling B+ segment hatchback, Maruti Swift, is going to receive a mid-life makeover this year which will be introduced into the market during the festive season. The Swift was first launched in 2005 with only a petrol engine and a diesel model joined the party in 2007. The Swift then received a makeover in 2011. Now this will be the second time when the Swift will receive design modifications. (Also read: Maruti Ciaz - Everything You Want to Know)
The facelifted model that we are talking about here is already on sale in Japan and some European markets. The design of the facelifted Swift is largely similar to the existing model, however, features like L-shaped LEDs, revised fog lamps and bumper with silver detailing give it a refreshed front-end. The top-end variant of the car might feature a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels, while the non-alloy wheel trims might get new wheel covers with the existing wheels. What might also change is the stop-lamp design, as seen in the European model of the car. The top-of-the-line variant might also be launched in new Boost Blue metallic shade.
The updated model will also receive some changes inside the cabin like new blue and grey lined seat fabric, auto-up touch function for the front passenger's window, automatic, start-stop button and electronically adjustable side view mirrors.
Mechanically, the 2014 Swift facelift will remain unchanged with the existing engine options - 1.3-litre multijet diesel and 1.2-litre K-Series petrol.
