Highlights

Hyundai's refreshed 2015 Sonata has been revealed at the New York Auto Show and features a range of aesthetic tweaks inside and out. Marginally longer and wider than the 2014 model, the 2015 Sonata falls in line with Hyundai's latest Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language.

It receives a revamped front end with a hexagonal grille inspired by the Genesis concept, a revised bumper and new headlamps. At the rear, the updates consist of new tail lamps and a redrawn trunk lid while there is the option provided for additional colours and alloy-wheel designs.

The 2015 Sonata is more rigid than the outgoing model thanks to the widespread use of high-strength steel.

The inside follows a squared-off design, which shows off a larger centre console and a more convenient switchgear placement. The 2015 Sonata receives a fully-digital instrument cluster but gains a configurable TFT screen mounted in between the gauges.

The Sonata will be offered in a 2.4-litre four-cylinder and turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder powertrain options.
