2014 Skoda Superb launched at Rs 18.87 lakh

After unveiling the 2014 Superb at the Auto Expo, Skoda Auto India has today launched the vehicle in India at a starting price of Rs 18.87 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company has given both exterior and interior changes to the facelifted Superb, making it look sleeker and sportier than before. The updated model gets a new front end which comes with the family grille and logo, new Octavia-like bonnet, revised bumper, re-worked headlamps and alloy wheels.

The headlights of the car now feature daytime running LEDs. The tail lights too receive the LED treatment. Other changes made to the rear profile of the car include revised boot, while the registration plate has been moved to the boot-lid from the bumper. The car has received minor interior updates as well, which make it look more up-market than before.

Since, it's just a facelift, the car hasn't gone through any mechanical changes. It has the same 2.0-litre TDI diesel and 1.8-litre TSI petrol engines, capable of churning out a maximum power output of 138bhp and 158bhp respectively.
