The facelifted Honda Amaze continues to be offered in three variants - E, S and VX, and except for the base variants, all three trims get a CVT automatic option with the petrol motor, while in the diesel it's limited to the top-end trim only. Petrol

The Tata Tigor is the most affordable subcompact sedan in India.
| Petrol Models | Honda Amaze | Maruti Suzuki Dzire | Hyundai Aura | Tata Tigor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Prices | Rs. 6.32 lakh - Rs. 9.05 lakh | Rs. 5.94 lakh - Rs. 9.03 lakh | Rs. 6.00 lakh - Rs. 8.22 lakh / Turbo- Rs. 8.73 lakh | Rs. 5.65 lakh - Rs. 7.82 lakh |
The Honda Amaze is clearly the most expensive model of the lot and is Rs. 67,000 more expensive compared to the base petrol variant of the Tigor which is the most affordable subcompact sedan in India. Even the top-end automatic trim of the Amaze is the most expensive here, around Rs. 2000 than the Dzire, Rs. 83,000 more expensive than the Aura and a good Rs. 1.23 lakh more expensive than the Tigor. But then, the Honda Amaze gets a superior CVT automatic transmission while the other three get AMT gearboxes.
Diesel

The Hyundai aura is more affordable than the Honda Amaze.
| Diesel Models | Honda Amaze | Hyundai Aura |
|---|---|---|
| Prices | Rs. 8.67 lakh - Rs. 10.25 lakh | Rs. 7.91 lakh - Rs. 9.36 lakh |
Now the Hyundai Aura is the only car rivalling the Honda Amaze in the subcompact diesel market, and comfortably undercuts it by Rs. 76,000 at the base variant while the price difference goes up to Rs. 94,000 at the top-end of the variant spectrum. Now the Honda Amaze diesel is offered with a CVT automatic gearbox as well in the range-topping trim which is priced at Rs. 11.15 lakh, but the Hyundai Aura diesel comes with the manual transmission as standard.
