2021 MINI Countryman Facelift Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs. 39.50 Lakh

MINI India has launched the 2021 Countryman facelift in the country. The model was introduced globally in mid-2020 and comes to India with refreshed styling, new features and more. The 2021 MINI Countryman is available in two variants with the Cooper S priced at Rs. 39.50 lakh, while the Cooper S JCW Inspired priced at Rs. 43.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The refreshed Countryman is about Rs. 1 lakh more expensive than the older model and is locally assembled at BMW's Chennai-based facility. Bookings are open at dealerships across the country.

The 2021 MINI Countryman gets subtle exterior revisions over the old model
With respect to exterior revisions, the 2021 MINI Countryman retains an extremely familiar appearance but now gets LEDs as standard. There's the new gloss black mesh grille, revised bumper with blacked-out elements, smaller and circular fog lamps, and silver bash plate. The rear profile gets new Union Jack themed taillights, a revised bumper, while a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels complete the exterior changes. For those looking at the more premium JCW Inspired edition, aesthetic upgrades include a contrast white roof, rear spoiler, comfort access system and larger 18-inch alloy wheels with run-flat tyres.

Inside, the new MINI Countryman Cooper S variant comes with a piano black finish on the dashboard and the door bezels. The JCW Inspired trim offers the option of a Chester Malt Brown or Chester Satellite Grey upholstery. In addition, both variants get electric adjustable front seats, 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, centre armrest for the front and rear passengers. The JCW Inspired edition packs a larger 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with navigation, Harman Kardon stereo, adjustable rear seats, Head-up Display (HUD), and a wireless charger.

The 2021 MINI Countryman is available only with the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine in India
With the facelift, BMW has also dropped the diesel engine from the Countryman's line-up. The model is now offered only with the familiar 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor that develops 189 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DCT transmission on the Cooper S, and a 7-speed DCT Sport unit on the JCW Inspired edition. The SUV is quick and sprints from 0-100 kmph in 7.5 seconds with a top speed of 225 kmph. There are two driving modes available - Sport and Green.
BMW India is also offering an 'Absolute Value' offer as well on the new Countryman that comes with a comprehensive ownership package that includes Service Inclusive Plus, Repair Inclusive, MINI Secure, Assured buyback Value and MINI 360-degree loyalty/trade-in. The special package will be available on both trims till the end of June 2021.
