2022 Audi A8 L Luxury Sedan Launched In India; Prices Begin At Rs. 1.29 Crore

Audi India has refreshed its flagship luxury sedan, the Audi A8 L at Rs. 1.29 crore for the Audi A8 L Celebration, and Rs. 1.57 crore (both prices ex-showroom, India) for the Audi A8 L Technology trim. The 2022 Audi A8 L is the flagship sedan from the Ingolstadt-based carmaker, and as the L in the name suggests, is the long-wheelbase version of the luxury sedan. The fourth-generation Audi A8 L receives a mid-cycle update that sharpens its design, particularly in the front and rear making it sportier, while enhanced features make it even more uber-luxurious than before.
The fascia of the 2022 Audi A8 L now features a wider Singleframe grille with ample use of chrome in its surrounding.

Visually, the front and the rear of the 2022 Audi A8 L receive major changes, as the fascia now features a wider Singleframe grille, with ample use of chrome on its surrounding. The side air intakes are more upright, while the digital Matrix LED headlights have been redesigned. In profile, the 2022 Audi A8 L retains its progressive character lines and sports a new set of 19-inch alloy wheels. The rear section gets new OLED taillights with customisable signature light patterns and a continuous, segmented light strip. The diffuser insert is also redesigned with horizontal bars.

At the front, the 2022 Audi A8 L gets an updated dashboard with two displays that are 10.1-inch and 8.6-inch in size with an option for a head-up display. The 2022 Audi A8 L comes with relaxation seats with numerous adjustment options and a footrest on the back of the front passenger seat. Apart from the 18 pneumatic cushions, electrically adjustable comfort headrests, and an optional continuous centre console, the 2022 Audi A8 L also features optional fold-out tables, a four-zone automatic air conditioning, and two 10.1-inch displays for the rear passengers.

The heart of the 2022 Audi A8 facelift is powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 coupled to a 48V mild-hybrid system, developing 335 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with Quattro all-wheel-drive system as standard. The 2022 Audi A8 L is also quick for its size, and can do the 0-100 kmph sprint in 5.7 seconds. The new Audi A8 L now competes with other flagship sedans from its German counterparts- BMW 7 Series and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
