2022 MG Gloster Facelift Launched In India; Prices Begin At Rs. 32 Lakh

MG Motor India has launched the refreshed 2022 MG Gloster SUV in the country at a starting price of Rs. 32 lakh and goes up to Rs. 41 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the range-topping variant. The 2022 Gloster facelift receives styling and technology enhancements over the existing trims and introduces new safety features to its Level 1 ADAS capability available in 2WD and 4WD options with 6- and 7- seater variants. The 2022 MG Gloster facelift is available in a single diesel engine option paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The 2022 MG Gloster facelift is available in a single diesel engine option paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
In terms of styling updates, the 2022 MG Gloster facelift retains most of the design elements from the older version, however, the company has added new British Windmill Turbine-themed alloy wheels for the 4WD variants, while the exterior paint scheme gets a new ‘Deep Golden’ colour option in addition to the already existing colours of Metal Black, Metal Ash, and Warm White.
Inside, the 2022 MG Gloster facelift features the same layout as the older model with a 12.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Moreover, the car retains its dual panoramic electric sunroof, a 12-way power adjustable driver seat, driver seat massage and ventilation feature, and wireless charging. Additionally, the company has upgraded its ‘i-SMART’ connected car tech to more than 75 features.

In terms of safety, the 2022 MG Gloster facelift ups its ante with new ADAS features such as Door Open Warning (DOW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Lane Change Assist (LCA), apart from the existing 30 standard safety features. The company claims that introduction of new ADAS features makes the 2022 MG Gloster facelift, one of the safest SUVs in the Indian market.

Under the hood, the 2022 MG Gloster facelift continues to be powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo and 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel units with the lower spec turbo-diesel mill developing 160 bhp & 375 Nm while the more powerful version puts out a more potent 215 bhp & 480 Nm. The transmission is a single 8-speed automatic unit. The 2022 MG Gloster facelift receives a 4WD all-terrain system with 7 modes, identical to the older version.
