Aston Martin introduces the Vantage V8 GT special edition

In its tenth year now with the Vantage V8, Aston Martin is keeping things interesting with a special edition Vantage GT model. The company says that this is a GT that is lower in terms of price but heightened in terms of performance.

Aston Martin has uprated the 4.7-litre V8 from the Vantage S and it now produces 430bhp compared to the standard car's 420. The GT will be offered in either a standard six-speed manual or an optional seven-speed, single-clutch automated manual transmission. It can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds and that is simply put - spectacular.

A stiffened suspension similar to that of the Vantage S is also part of the package. Then there is the black exterior trim, clear-lens taillights, Vantage S side sills and graphite painted, diamond-turned 19-inch wheels which look brilliant and add to the aesthetics of the car.

Interior upgrades include sports seats straight out of the V12 Vantage S, "Plisse" Alcantara trim, black magnesium paddle-shifters or a carbon fiber gearshift surround. Then there is a navigation system which comes as standard.
