Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Unveiled; Specs and Features Here

Maruti Suzuki India had finally unveiled its most anticipated sub-compact vehicle, the Vitara Brezza. The carmaker unveiled the all-new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza at the Auto Expo 2016 and has planned to launch the SUV towards the end of this fiscal. The Vitara Brezza is likely to be retailed via Maruti's regular dealerships, especially considering the fact that the sub-compact SUV comes with the company's standard variant nomenclature - LDI, VDI and ZDI, with optional variants. Moreover Maruti will be launching the Vitara Brezza only in diesel variants.

Now, the Vitara Brezza has clearly been one of the most awaited sub-compacts in 2016 and as seen in the spy shots and teaser images, it comes with lot of style and muscle. The SUV comes with boxy features, beefy front fascia flanked with stylish projector headlamps with DRLs. The grille unit sports a large chrome slat designed with hammer-like ends on both sides and has been nicely integrated with the headlamps. The front section also features a muscular bumper that houses the wide air dam, round fog lamps and a sliver skid plate.

To further enhance its SUV persona the Vitara Brezza comes with cosmetic addition like bumper mounted turn indicators, plastic under body cladding and big roof rails. The SUV gets stylish dual tone body colour treatment with two tone ORVMs and integrated turn lights, which extensively reminds you of the older generation Mitsubishi Pajerio Sport. The rear profile is also nicely designed and features a pair of two-piece tail lamps with combination lights, rear windscreen wiper and a beefy rear bumper.

Inside, the Maruti Vitara Brezza gets a nicely laid out cabin and comes with some new style cues. The materials used for the dashboard and upholstery are of decent quality and doesn't fail to remind you that you are in fact sitting in a Maruti. The centre console get a nice touchscreen infotainment system that comes with SmartPlay and Apple CarPlay, Inbuilt navigation with Mapcare, keyless entry, reverse parking camera, push button start, cruise control, cooled upper glovebox, and sliding front armrest. Whereas the safety features include dual airbags with ABS and EBD as standard across all variants. The Brezza will also come with a number of personalisation option.

As mentioned earlier the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will be available only with the 1.3-litre diesel engine that produces a maximum of 88.5bhp and a peak toque of 200 Nm. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox along with possibly an AMT unit on option. Prices are suspected to be somewhere in the range of Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 9 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

At the event, Toshihiro Suzuki, President & COO, Suzuki, said India is one of the most important markets for Suzuki. He goes on to add that the made-in-India Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be exported to Japan and that the hatchback's export from the country will strengthen India's role as a manufacturing hub.
