- The TVS NTorq 125 has very good performance and handling

From the very capable TVS NTorq 125, the Suzuki Burgman Street with maxi-scooter design, and Hero MotoCorp's new 125 cc scooter the Hero Destini 125, 2018 has been the year of 125 cc scooters. The TVS NTorq 125 is one of the best scooters available on sale right now
TVS NTorq 125
The TVS NTorq 125 is perhaps the most feature-rich scooter available on sale right now, and it goes beyond just features. The NTorq is the first 125 cc scooter from TVS Motor Company, and it offers a superb blend of performance, features, styling and technology. With sharp and edgy styling, the NTorq 125 is the first scooter to come with Smartphone connectivity, which allows the rider to get call alerts, SMS alerts, and even navigation assist on its full-digital instrument panel. But more than the features or technology, it's the way the TVS NTorq 125 performs which makes it such a memorable scooter to review. The three-valve, single-cylinder, 124.79 cc air-cooled engine puts out 9.5 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 10.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm. With a top speed of over 100 kmph, and agile handling, the NTorq 125 offers superb performance in its segment, and that's the single reason it makes to the top of the best scooters list of 2018.

Suzuki Burgman Street
Suzuki Motorcycle India rules the 125 cc scooter segment in India with its bestselling Suzuki Access 125. In 2018, Suzuki extended its 125 cc scooter portfolio with a brand new scooter, the Suzuki Burgman Street. With a name taken from Suzuki's range of maxi-scooters sold internationally, the 125 cc Burgman Street also follows similar maxi-scooter design, although the scooter is based on the Access 125 platform. The Suzuki Burgman Street's 124 cc mill puts out 8.6 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 10.2 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. With nimble handling, and a peppy engine, it's a very engaging scooter to ride, and of course the USP is the rather 'different' big scooter design. Priced at Rs. 68,000 (ex-showroom) is one of the more expensive 125 cc scooters on sale, but it still makes a very good case as a unique-looking scooter, with the performance and handling to make it an enjoyable scooter to ride.

Hero Destini 125
For the first time ever, Hero MotoCorp forayed into the 125 cc scooter segment in India with the new Destini 125. The Hero Destini 125 is the first scooter to feature the idle start-stop system, or i3S, which essentially shuts down the engine at stop lights. The Destini 125's design is based on the 110 cc Hero Duet, but with some subtle changes in design, with each and every panel redesigned on the Destini 125. The 125 cc, single-cylinder engine puts out 8.7 bhp of maximum power at 6,750 rpm, while the peak torque of 10.2 Nm kicking in at 5,000 rpm. Priced at Rs. 54,650 (ex-showroom), the Hero Destini 125 is the most affordable 125 cc scooter available on sale in the market right now.
Ather 450
The Ather 450 is a full-electric, smart-connected scooter that promises to break new ground in the Indian scooter space as we know it today. The smart electric scooter has several unique features, including satellite navigation, remote diagnostics and one of its kind charging grid, which is available in Bengaluru right now. Performance of this electric scooter is very impressive, and it's a nimble and agile handler as well. Priced at over Rs. 1 lakh, it's an expensive electric scooter, but it offers a complete package, including maintenance and charging costs, and could well usher in a new era in the electric two-wheeler space in India. And the best part is that the Ather 450 has the performance to take on conventional scooters as well. A smart-connected, ready for the future electric scooter, with impressive performance makes the Ather 450 a pathbreaking product in the electric two-wheeler space.
