Bounce Infinity Achieves Over 10 Lakh Battery Swaps

- Bounce plans to invest $100 million in R&D, manufacturing and expansion
- In two years, Bounce intends to support 10 lakh electric scooters

Bounce has registered more than 10 lakh battery swaps on its energy infrastructure network, Bounce Infinity, the company has said in a statement. With this, Bounce says it has become the first energy infrastructure company to achieve such an accomplishment in the country. The Bounce Infinity swapping stations work on similar principles to a fuel station, with charged and ready to go batteries that customers can easily swap with their used batteries in a few minutes. With the battery swapping infrastructure, customers need not wait to recharge their electric scooters, or be anxious about the range, or remember to charge.

The Bounce Infinity E1 electric scooter has been launched in India, with prices begin at Rs. 45,099
According to Bounce, the company is amplifying its battery swapping network in line with its recently launched consumer electric scooter, the Bounce Infinity E1. The electric scooter was unveiled in December 2021 and comes with "Battery as a service" option, which pushes the running costs of the scooter down substantially. According to the company, the Bounce Infinity E1 will also be offered with the battery, which can be removed from the scooter and charged by customers at their home or office, or wherever convenient.

The Bounce Infinity E1 comes in five exciting colour options: Sporty Red, Sparkle Black, Pearl White, Desat Silver and Comed Grey

Bounce has recently partnered with brands like Nobroker, Park+, Readyassist, Kitchens@, HelloWorld, Goodbox etc. to set up infrastructure to support more than 10 lakh scooters in the next 12-24 months. The infrastructure will be available at locations as diverse as residential complexes, petrol bunks, restaurants, cafes, co-living spaces, corporate offices, kirana stores, etc., making it convenient for customers to access the nearest swapping station. According to the company, it's also leveraging its battery swapping expertise to other OEM players to support inter-operability for faster adoption of EV mobility.
