Bounce Expands Battery-Swapping Infrastructure With New Partnerships

Bengaluru-based smart mobility solutions company Bounce has announced multiple partnerships with Readassist, Helloworld, Kitchens@ and Goodbox to expand its battery swapping infrastructure. With the announcement of the new partnerships, Bounce has now expanded its battery-swapping infrastructure to 900 new locations across 10 cities. The company has announced that the smart framework will be available at locations as diverse as restaurants, cafes, co-living spaces, corporate offices, kirana stores, etc., to make it convenient for customers to find the nearest swapping station on the Bounce App.

The Bounce Infinity electric scooter will be launched on December 2, 2021. The company is expanding its battery-swapping network in anticipation of the launch and deliveries of the new electric scooter.
Recently, Bounce had made another announcement of a similar partnership with Park+ to set up more than 3,000 battery-swapping stations across 10 cities in India. The swapping stations will work on similar principles as a conventional fuel stations, Bounce said. These Bounce battery-swapping stations will have charged and ready-to-go batteries that customers can easily swap with their near-empty batteries in under a minute. With this infrastructure in place, customers will not have to wait for their electric two-wheeler to charge, be anxious about range, or remember to re-charge.

According to the company, with partnerships like these, Bounce aims to set up battery-swapping stations within 1 km of wherever its customers are and also build a robust swapping infrastructure to support over a million electric scooters over the next 24 hours. Bounce is bolstering its battery-swapping network in anticipation of the launch of its first consumer electric scooter, the Bounce Inifinity, which will be launched on December 2, 2021. The scooter will be offered with 'battery as a service' option, the first of its kind in the Indian market.
