Highlights

Dodge has officially unveiled the 2015 Challenger SRT and Challenger SRT Hellcat. The facelift Challenger was unveiled at this year's New York Auto Show and it boasted of an aluminum "power-bulge" hood, restyled headlights and a duck-bill front splitter. Then there were the LED tail lamps which were noticeable a mile away.

But the SRT Hellcat goes one step further with a larger front splitter, a huge rear spoiler and an exclusive "Air Catcher inlet port which feeds ram-air directly into the engine air box through the driver-side parking lamp."

Inside the Challenger SRT the cabin is the same as what we've seen on the standard model. So, there is the flat-bottomed steering wheel and heated / ventilated front seats with Nappa leather and Alcantara upholstery. Then there is the 7-inch driver information display on the instrument cluster while the SRT gets a Hectic Mesh or Dark Engine Turn (SRT Hellcat) aluminium trim and a Uconnect infotainment system with an 8.4-inch display.

Now to the engines and the entry-level Challenger SRT comes powered by a 6.4-litre HEMI V8 engine that develops 485bhp and 643Nm torques but the Hellcat is a whole new ball game. It gets a supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V8 that produces more than 600bhp and promises to push the barrier and put a smile to your face. Both can be connected to six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The cars have also been equipped with a "Drive Modes" system which can adjust the steering, traction, suspension and horsepower output. The system has Sport and Track modes as well as a programmable Custom setting that can be accessed through the Uconnect infotainment system. The rest is in the video below, so you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the Hellcat!
