- 754 cc parallel-twin engine makes 75 bhp, 67 Nm
- New Benelli TRK 800 will be introduced in second half of 2022
- India launch likely to be delayed till end 2022, or early 2023
Benelli has expanded its TRK range of adventure touring bikes with the new Benelli TRK 800 which has been introduced at the EICMA 2021 show in Milan. Designed in Benelli's home base of Pesaro, Italy, the TRK 800 joins the brand's popular 500 cc model, the Benelli TRK 502. The new TRK 800 is powered by a 754 cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine with a 6-speed gearbox and slip-and-assist clutch. The engine puts out 75 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 67 Nm at 6,500 rpm, and features a double overhead camshaft with four valves per cylinder and a 43 mm diameter throttle body.

The design is perhaps the most striking feature of the TRK 800, with sharp bodywork, and fuel tank extensions. The headlight is somewhat reminiscent of the Triumph Tiger 900, but the TRK 800 features integrated LED turn indicators, and gets an adjustable windscreen, and hand guards. The TRK 800 also gets a high-resolution 7-inch full-colour TFT instrument console, but sadly there isn't any comprehensive electronic rider aids to speak of.

The design of the TRK 800 is sharp, and looks good, particularly with the grey and bright red colour combination.
Wheels are a combination of 19-inch front and 17-inch rear, and 50 mm Marzocchi forks are mounted on the tubular trellis frame. The suspension offers rebound, compression, and spring preload adjustments with a rear monoshock. Brembo brakes are equipped with 320 mm diameter semi-floating discs and a four-piston caliper up front, along with a 260 mm diameter single disc and a single-piston caliper at the rear. The new Benelli TRK 800 will be offered internationally only by the second half of 2022, and at some point, we do expect it to be introduced in India as well.
