- It will be launched at the upcoming EICMA Motorcycle show
- The new Street Triple will get an all-new engine
- India should get the new Street Triple early next year
Triumph India will be launching a new Street Triple, early next year, a source has disclosed to carandbike.com. The new Street Triple is likely to be unveiled at the EICMA motor show in Italy next month, before it's launched globally. There's been no official confirmation from Triumph India, but according to a source in the know, the bike will be an all-new version of the Triumph Street Triple which will be launched in India early next year.
The new Street Triple will be a completely new bike, with new design and a new in-line three engine, expected to displace around 800cc, the source has disclosed to carandbike.com. The new engine will also help the motorcycle conform to Euro 4 emission norms, yet retain its sporty, aggressive character that made the Street Triple so endearing to motorcycle enthusiasts across the world.

1.110bhp base version with Kayaba suspension
2.115bhp 'R' version with adjustable Showa suspension, Nissin brakes
3.125bhp touring model named 'RT'
4.125bhp 'RS' model featuring Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes
(Current Gen Triumph Street Triple)Triumph India has expanded its modern classic range with four new models in this calendar year- the Street Twin, Bonneville T120, Thruxton R and most recently, the Bonneville T100. The adventure series has also seen upgrades in the Tiger 800 range since Triumph started operations in India.
What hasn't seen any new models or upgrades in India is the Roadster range, although the new Street Triple is expected to be a global launch, sometime in the first quarter of 2017.
