F1 Rules And How They Are Panning Out

The season-opening The Bahrain Grand Prix kicks off the 2022 Formula One season. After depicting a truly thrilling title duel between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton last season, the game has a lot to live up to. The upcoming release heralds the start of a gleaming new era for the game, with completely revamped vehicles and a new titleholder. Here's the beginning and end of the story that you should be aware of.

RULES OVERHAUL
This year, Formula One approved its most radical guidelines rewrite in recent years. The automobiles in 2022 will have a redesigned optimum design and larger 18-inch wheels. The goal is to bring the wheel-to-wheel activity closer together and liven it up. The new concepts have efficiently cleaned up the violent streamlined wake left by the vehicles in proof-of-concept testing, making it easier for drivers to follow each other carefully. However, the new regulations have resulted in vehicles that are heavier and slower, especially in low-speed turns.
HAMILTON IS ON THE BACK FOOT
Lewis Hamilton went into the season knowing that he would be rebounding from his controversial title victory above and beyond everyone's expectations. Nonetheless, his Mercedes team, which is aiming for a record 10th consecutive constructors' title, has struggled to adapt to the new regulations. Hamilton believes the vehicle has potential, despite the fact that it didn't appear to be fully focused during the last pre-season test in Bahrain. However, he warns fans not to expect him to be fighting for victory on Sunday. He'll also have to defend himself against George Russell, an aggressive adolescent who has replaced Valtteri Bottas as the seven-time champion's partner.
FERRARI RESURGENT
Ferrari enters the 2022 season with a heavy sense of expectation and tension. The game's most established and greatest team has gone two seasons without a win, with its most recent success coming in 2019, thanks to the now-retired Sebastian Vettel. However, the dry season may come to an end this year. Throughout testing, the Maranello-based company's vehicle has proven to be incredibly fast and stable, and opponents have touted it as one of the best options. The team also has a strong driver to complement Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Regardless, can the team, which last won a drivers' championship in 2007 with now-retired Kimi Raikkonen, support a season-long title challenge?

RED BULL TEAM TO BEAT
In the final meeting of the last day, titleholder Max Verstappen gave a glimpse into Red Bull's unrefined speed by setting the fastest season of the Bahrain pre-season test. The Dutchman also won the first day of training at the Sakhir desert track this season. This elevated Red Bull to the top among the contenders, alongside Ferrari and possibly ahead of the Maranello-based team. However, more importantly, the team and Verstappen have title-winning experience, something their Italian opponents lack and which will give them an advantage.
NEW REFEREEING STRUCTURE
Last year's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix provided a shaky conclusion to what seemed to be the closest season in many years. At the security vehicle restart, race chief Michael Masi's decision to place only the lapped vehicles between Max Verstappen and race-driving Lewis Hamilton far away allowed the Dutchman to pass the Briton and deny him a historic ninth title on the final lap. The decision sparked laughter and a reaction. The governing FIA has responded by appointing two new race chiefs to replace Mas, establishing a virtual race control similar to the VAR used in football, and rephrasing the security vehicle laws.
RECORD CALENDAR
Formula One's schedule evolves over time. Following a 22-race season last year, the 2022 mission will compete in 23 races. Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Grand Prix was withdrawn, reducing the schedule to 22 races. Nonetheless, Formula One is looking for a replacement and has plenty of options to fill Russia's seat. Advancement RACE As the season progresses, fans may expect to witness significant changes in structure. The new guidelines are still in their early stages, which means there is a lot of room for improvement. Groups are united in their belief that the speed with which they advance this season, as well as the shrewdness with which they make their plans, will determine who wins the competition.

LEVEL PLAYING FIELD
The 2022 season should be the most level-playing field in years for all competitors. This season, the financial plan maximum has been reduced to $140 million per year. This, combined with the changes to the standards, gives smaller groups their best chance in a long time to compete with the game's major players. Will the request be reshuffled as a result of this? Will it essentially allow the smaller teams to get closer to their bigger opponents as the season progresses? It should, in principle. However, the truth will eventually come out.
