The new Ford GT '66 Heritage Edition has been designed keeping in mind the styling on the 60s race car. The exterior has been painted in a Shadow Black colour with the option of either a gloss or matte finish. Ford has also equipped the car with carbon fibre styling package and a Frozen White "#2" graphics, which are completed by Ford GT's legendary twin racing strips. This limited edition Ford GT runs on stylish 20-inch forged aluminium wheels with gold satin finish and black lug nuts to complete the contrast.

Ford GT Heritage Edition Rear Profile
If you are wondering, Ford hasn't forgotten about the cabin and keeping the original theme in mind, this one gets an all-black interior. At the same time keeping modern needs in mind, Ford has wrapped this limited edition GT's seats in carbon fibre and Ebony leather, with pillowed inserts and plow-through stitching.

The seats' head restraints and the steering wheel are debossed with the Ford GT logo. Taking some bits off the 1966 race car, the steering wheel has been wrapped in leather, with seat belts featuring unique blue webbing. Rest, the instrument panel, pillars and headliner also features an Ebony-leather wrap, with gold appliqués on the instrument panel, the seat's X-brace and shift paddles. The powertrain though will remain unchanged with 3.5-litre V6 EcoBoost engine continuing to offer over 600bhp, while mated to a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.

Ford GT Heritage Edition Dashboard
Garen Nicoghosian, exterior design manager for the car, says the team set out to highlight where it all started with the Ford GT. "While the looks are distinctly based on the GT40 Mark II race car," he says, "we've accentuated new styling cues to provide a modern interpretation." This one is also a driveable version unlike the Lego GT Ford launched a week ago.
