The state-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) on Wednesday yet again increased domestic fuel prices. According to the details listed on the oil retailer's website, petrol and diesel prices have been hiked by up to 39 paise and 23 paise, respectively. With new prices coming into effect, petrol has breached Rs. 100-mark in Delhi and Kolkata, retailing at Rs. 100.21 a litre and Rs. 100.23 a litre, respectively. In the national capital Delhi, diesel became dearer by 17 paise a litre from 89.36 a litre to Rs. 89.53 a litre. Customers in Kolkata will now have to pay Rs. 92.50 a litre for diesel.

Petrol retails above Rs. 111 per litre mark in Sri Ganganagar and Anuppur districts

Here are the petrol and diesel prices across six major metros on July 07, 2021:

In Mumbai, petrol has breached Rs. 106-mark, currently standing at Rs. 106.25 per litre, while diesel touched a new high of Rs. 97.09 per litre. As for other metro cities, petrol in Chennai jumped to Rs. 101.06 a litre after a hike of 31 paise a litre while diesel became dearer by 15 paise, to Rs. 94.06 a litre. Fuel prices in Bengaluru have reached Rs. 103.56 a litre and Rs. 94.89 a litre, respectively. In Hyderabad, petrol and diesel now retail at Rs. 104.14 a litre and Rs. 97.58 a litre, respectively.

Fuel prices are the most expensive in Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, where petrol is already above Rs. 111-mark, currently retailing at Rs. 111.50 a litre while diesel has now touched Rs. 102.78 a litre. In Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur and Rewa districts, petrol has reached Rs. 111.10 a litre and Rs. 110.73 a litre, while diesel now costs Rs. 100.69 per litre and Rs. 100.35 per litre, respectively. Customers in Bhopal will have to pay Rs. 108.53 a litre and Rs. 98.30 a litre for petrol and diesel, respectively. Fuel prices in Maharashtra's Parbhani district have now reached Rs. 111.10 a litre and Rs. 100.69 a litre, respectively.
