GST Impact: Maruti Suzuki Dzire Prices Cut By Up To Rs. 15,100

- The quantum of price reduction depends on the location and variant

The GST rates have led to many manufacturers announce pricing benefits on their car models. Maruti Suzuki too announced a price reduction up to the tune of 3 per cent on its models. One of the models to receive a price reduction was the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The Maruti Dzire gets a price drop in the range of Rs. 8,100 to Rs. 15,100. The quantum of price reduction on the New Maruti Dzire depends on the city in which the car is bought and the variant which is bought. Small cars under 4 metres in length with a petrol engine of less than 1.2-litres and diesel engine less than 1.5-litres will have their prices reduced by 2.5 per cent and 2.25 per cent.
The 2017 Dzire was launched in May 2017 and has already gotten over 44,000 bookings and commands a 4 month waiting period as well. With major updates to the looks and interiors, the new-generation Dzire gets lovely styling and host of new features such as large touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well. As far as the engines are concerned, the new Maruti Dzire gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.2-litre diesel engine with a 5-speed transmission or a 5-step AMT gearbox. Some of the other features include LED projector headlamps, flat-bottomed steering wheel, rear AC vents and so on. The company claimed fuel efficiency for the Dzire petrol is 22 kmpl and the Dzire diesel is 28.4 kmpl. The 2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire post GST prices start from Rs. 5.43 lakh for the petrol variants and Rs. 6.44 lakh for the diesel variants.
