Honda City Sport CVT Launched At Rs 14.89 Lakh: Here’s What’s Different

- Honda City Sport available only with a CVT automatic, priced at Rs 14.89 lakh.
- Gets all-black interior, grey alloys and a black finish for select exterior elements.
- No mechanical changes over the regular Honda City.
Honda Cars India has added a new variant to the City lineup with the launch of the Honda City Sport. Priced at Rs 14.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the City Sport is Rs 49,000 more expensive than the City V CVT variant it is based on. The City Sport will be available ‘in limited units’, as per a media statement, but the company hasn’t specified how many units will be available in total. While it bears the Sport badge, the latest addition to the City range, unfortunately, is no sportier than the regular sedan, as this is merely a cosmetic makeover for the popular Honda.

Black-finished boot lip spoiler added with the City Sport.
Changes on the outside include a black finish for the grille, grey multi-spoke alloy wheels, and black paint for the wing mirror casings, shark fin antenna, and a boot lip spoiler, also finished in black.
All-black interior with a contrast red insert for the dashboard.
Inside is where you’ll find the biggest change, as the City Sport has an all-black interior. The seats are draped in black leather, as is the steering wheel, both featuring contrast red stitching, and the dashboard sports a red insert. Also exclusive to the City Sport is ‘rhythmic’ ambient lighting with seven colours – a feature not available on any other City variant. These changes aside, the City Sport mirrors the feature set of the City V.

Black leather seats are exclusive to the City Sport.
Despite being aimed at driving enthusiasts, the City Sport will only be available with a CVT automatic, paired to the 1.5-litre, i-VTEC petrol engine that powers the regular City. Honda claims the City Sport will have a fuel efficiency figure of up to 18.4 kmpl.
City Sport can only be had with a CVT automatic with paddle shifters,
The City continues to compete with the likes of the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia and Hyundai Verna in the Indian market.
