Honda Cliq 110 cc Scooter Launched In India; Priced At Rs. 42,499

- The Honda Cliq is the latest 110 cc scooter from the manufacturer
- The Honda Cliq is being produced at the company's Tapukara plant
- Honda will launch the Cliq scooter across the country in a phased manner
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 'Honda Cliq' 110 cc scooter in the domestic market priced at Rs. 42,499 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Cliq is a rugged automatic scooter developed to maximise utility with additional value of comfort and convenience for utilitarian customers, the Japanese two wheeler maker said in a statement. We brought you all the updates from the launch already but there's more to be known about the Cliq scooter. The Cliq gets special block pattern tubeless tyres with deep grooves that provide extra grip and better control over patchy roads under all weather conditions. The new Honda scooter will be available in four colour options. Honda 2 Wheelers plans to launch the Cliq in a phased manner and Rajasthan will be the first state in which it will be made available and then will be launched in a phased manner across the country before the festive season. The Honda Cliq will be manufactured at the company's Tapukara facility in Rajasthan. There are several unique things about the new Honda Cliq and we have already ridden the Cliq scooter in Jaipur.

Honda Cliq is powered by the same 110 cc engine as the Activa with 8 bhp of power
The overall design too looks more rugged on the Honda Cliq with a distinctive off-road friendly feel. The scooter weighs is a light 102 kg, which makes 8 kg ligther than the Honda Activa and same as the Honda Navi. The company says it gets a spacious footboard, large under-seat storage with 14 litres of space and optional rear carrier that enhance its load carrying capacity.

Honda Cliq shared its underpinnings with the Navi moto-scooter
Speaking on the launch of the new Cliq, Minoru Kato - President and CEO, HMSI said, "Six out of 10 two wheelers sold in India belong to 100-110cc segment. Within this segment, automatic scooters have witnessed tremendous growth and now count for almost half of the total size. With the highly increasing demand and varied customer needs, this segment is poised to sub segmentation. As the leaders of scooter category, Honda has developed CLIQ which would address the needs of customers with additional value of comfort and convenience."

The instrument cluster is simple and shared with other Honda offerings
Power on the Honda Cliq comes from the 110 cc single-cylinder BS-IV engine with Honda Eco Technology (HET) that is tuned to produce 8 bhp. The scooter also comes with Combi-Braking System (CBS) that helps distribute braking force more evenly, while you also get a maintenance free battery.

The Cliq will be first made available in Rajasthan and pan India by the festive season
Honda says the Cliq scooter has been designed for both male and female riders with its low seat height, lighter weight and easy handling capabilities. There is also a mobile charging socket to charge your smartphone and tubeless tyres for riding convenience. The optional accessories on the Cliq include a front screen, floor cover, box center, cap cover, rear grip among other parts, and can be selected individually by the customer. Given the price of the new Honda Cliq, there is no real competition in the scooter space, and Honda says the Cliq will compete with 100-110 cc motorcycles in rural markets.
