A great way to clean these surfaces is to use isopropyl alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol consists of at least 70% alcohol that could effectively kill all the germs.
One major problem can be that alcohol can damage surfaces like leather over time. Cleaning wipes for automotive that contain a mild amount of detergent can also clean these surfaces. Using soap and water can also be an effective solution to this problem.
Cleaning the seat upholstery
This can be a bit tricky. An easy solution is rubbing the upholstery with alcohol. Soap and water can also be used. But care should be taken to not overload the soap solution or cause problems.
Using a leather conditioner after cleaning leather would be a wise choice. Make sure to never use bleach or hydrogen peroxide for cleaning the upholstery.
Cleaning dials, buttons, and touchscreens
Isopropyl alcohol is an effective cleaning agent that can be used for this purpose. Cotton swabs can be used for small and tight corners. That effectively removes the dirt and helps in more efficient cleaning.
One of the major mistakes is using ammonia-based cleaners on touchscreens. That should never be done since that can damage the anti-glare and the anti-fingerprint coatings on the touchscreen.
If the customer is confused about what cloth to use, a microfiber cloth can be a great option. When normal pieces of cloth are used, they could leave marks on the surfaces (like windows). Microfiber cloth ensures that the material is cleaned without any scratches on the surface.

Cleaning footpads
Taking out the footpads and shaking them till the dust falls off is a great idea that people should try out when cleaning the car. Using carpet cleaners and maybe a little amount of soap can also help.
It is a great practice to keep the car clean and clutter-free. So, when the car is being cleaned, one should also take out pieces of junk like plastic or water bottles!
