Petrol Range Rover Evoque Coupe Being Considered For India

- JLR might be considering launching the Range Rover Evoque Coupe in India
- JLR has imported a 3-door Range Rover Evoque to India last week
- The SUV is powered by a 237bhp, 2.0-litre SI4 petrol engine
The aforementioned 2.0-litre SI4 petrol engine is offered with the Range Rover Evoque in several international markets. The 1988cc, four-cylinder gasoline motor churns out a maximum of 237bhp and develops a peak torque of 340Nm. The engine comes mated to a ZF 9-speed automatic transmission as standard.
The Range Rover Evoque is possibly one of the most popular luxury SUVs in India. Launched in India back in 2013, the Evoque is also one of the top-selling SUV in the carmaker's Indian line-up. Early last year Jaguar Land Rover launched the mid-cycle facelift of the car in India and the company has also been testing the Range Rover Evoque Convertible in the country, which is slated to launch in coming months. Interestingly both the Evoque Convertible and Coupe versions are already listed on the company's official Indian website.
In terms of looks, the Range Rover Evoque Coupe is essentially just a 3 door version of the car with a much slopping roofline that gives the SUV its coupe-like profile. In fact, the cabin of the car is also largely similar to what we find on the regular Range Rover Evoque and the upcoming convertible version. In terms of dimensions, the car measures 4,355mm in length, 1,980mm in width, and 1,621.2mm in height. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2,660mm and a wading depth of 500mm.
Upon its launch, the Range Rover Evoque Coupe will be the first 3-door luxury SUV in the country and will be slotted between the standard four-door Range Rover Evoque.and the upcoming convertible.
