Mahindra XUV700 Global Debut Date Confirmed

- The Mahindra XUV700 will debut on August 14, 2021, at 4 pm

The countdown has begun for the global debut of the Mahindra XUV700, the brand's all-new flagship offering. The Indian automaker has confirmed that it will unveil the new XUV700 on August 14, 2021, at 4 pm IST. The new SUV will be the first to get the brand's new logo and will pack a host of new features and creature comforts, some of which will be segment-first offerings. The new model will also replace the XUV500 in the company's line-up but Mahindra is working on a new compact SUV that will get the XUV500 moniker in the future.

Leaked images of the XUV700 reveal a completely new design while the model is considerably larger than the XUV500
Mahindra has released a bunch of teaser videos that give us a glimpse of all that we can expect from the model. This will include the segment's largest panoramic sunroof, fatigue alert, dual screens for the instrument console and infotainment system that will run the newly-developed AdrenoX user interface. The car will also get voice commands that will be carried out by Amazon Alexa virtual assistant, along with multiple driving modes named - Zip, Zap, Zoom and individual. The SUV will be offered in six and seven-seater configurations with captain-styled second-row available in the former.
On the design front, the Mahindra XUV700's exterior was leaked online recently. The model will get C-shaped LED DRLs, pop-out style door handles, a large new grille with vertical chrome slats, and prominent wheel arches. The SUV will get a slightly raised shoulder line around the rear quarter-glass reminiscent of the XUV500. At the rear, expect to see boomerang-shaped LED taillights and a silver skid plate.

Powertrain options on the Mahindra XUV700 will include the 2.0-litre Stallion turbo petrol along with the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel. The SUV will get manual and automatic transmission choices right from the start. It needs to be seen if Mahindra also offers All-Wheel Drive on the model at the time of launch. Meanwhile, the cabin will see a lot more luxurious than the XUV500.
The new Mahindra XUV700 will compete against the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and the Hyundai Alcazar upon launch. Make sure to keep watching this space for all the action on August 14, 2021.
