Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe to Be Launched in India on January 12

Touted to be a perfect blend of an SUV and a Sports Car by Mercedes-Benz, the GLE AMG Coupe is a crossover version of the GLE SUV, which was launched a few months back. In the global market's Mercedes offers the GLE AMG Coupe in two trims - the GLE 450 AMG and the more powerful, AMG GLE63 S Coupe. And it is the former that is set to be launched in India next month that too via the CBU route.
A good look at the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG Coupe will give you an insight of the cars aggressive stance, the AMG body styling and its alluring interiors, which is more than enough to tell you that it is built to offer the best of both an SUV and a Sedan. While the front fascia is clear cut reminder of its SUV DNA, as you go towards the rear section, you'll start noticing how seamlessly the car comes in line with its Coupe design.
At the front you have the massive grill with a large Three-Pointed Star at the centre along with a neat pair of headlamps with projector units and DRLs. The muscular bumper houses the huge air dam along with large air inlet on both sides and a silver skid plate below. The large squarish wheel arches houses a set of 21-inch AMG twin 5-spoke alloys and an option two more 22-inch multi-spoke wheels. Inside the GLE AMG Coupe comes with a luxuriously crafted cabin, which is draped in premium quality materials and Nappa leather multi-functional steering wheel.
As for its powertrain, the Mercedes-Benz GLE AMG 450 Coupe comes with AMG-enhanced 3.0-liter biturbo V-6 engine that offers instant response and decent fuel economy. The engine produces a maximum power of 362bhp and a peak torque of 520 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox that offers greater range of ratios and shorter steps between gears.
