Mercedes GLA 45 AMG Launched; Priced at Rs. 69.90 Lakh

Mercedes-Benz India today launched the GLA 45 AMG and has priced the car at Rs. 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). It has been an assault of sorts this year for Mercedes-Benz in India as they brought out not only facelifts but also new cars, not to forget AMG versions of most of them.
Three AMGs have already been launched and there are AMG Performance Centres too in India too which makes us understand that the German car maker is taking things very seriously. The customer in India is at the centre of this 'year of excellence' for Mercedes and they are leaving no stone unturned.
The GLA 45 AMG is the souped up and powerful version of the GLA that just arrived in India, and is the last of all the AMGs that we will get this year. Mercedes-Benz India has gone all out to differentiate the GLA 45 AMG from the stock car.

The GLA 45 AMG gets decals, which are a bit too flashy we think to call them performance graphics. But of course, the rest of the AMG treatment that it receives compensates for that one thing. The AMG kit includes 19-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, side skirts and AMG & Turbo badging all around.
Mercedes-Benz is also going with the Performance Exhaust package as standard to further enhance your driving experience, so the GLA 45 AMG will sound even more vicious than the CLA 45 AMG.
Now, we go straight to the heart. The GLA 45 AMG receives the same engine as the CLA 45 AMG. The AMG tuned 2.0-litre turbo engine develops 355bhp and the 450Nm torque kicks in at 2250rpm, no wonder it is the most powerful 4 cylinder engine in the world today. The delivery of that torque through the AMG SpeedShift 7-speed gearbox is seamless. The 4 Matic all-wheel drive system also makes for a different ride and handling character, with a tremendous sense of control. The car sits a bit lower than the stock GLA & that also adds to the sportier driving dynamic, with a tighter cornering stance too.
If you were wondering what else is instored from the Mercedes stable in the coming months, well, the CLA sedan is coming to India in another 4 months and the all-new C-Class too will be here soon after that. However, knowing what kind of year Mercedes-Benz is having, they might surprise us with something for sure.
