New 2014 BMW X5 Launched at Rs 70.9 Lakh

BMW India has just launched its third generation X5 in the Indian market. It is priced at Rs 70.9 lakh (ex-showroom). The car was first showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo.
The most noticeable changes on the X5 are are at the front - the fascia of the car now wears broader kidney grille with chrome surrounds and new headlamps with LED inserts. At the rear, the car now has two piece taillights, while the side profile remains almost largely unchanged.

The new BMW X5 is 5mm wider, 14mm taller and 32mm longer than its predecessor, which makes it slightly more spacious and comfortable than before. Inside the cabin, the new X5 receives wooden treatment on the dash, gear lever and door pads, along with several new equipments.
The new X5 derives its power from a 3.0-litre six-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine, capable of churning out 258bhp and 560Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The X5 flaunts a 0-100km/h sprint time of 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 230km/h.
