Tata Motors, today announced the opening of online bookings for its hatchback, the all-new Bolt. After the Zest made its mark in the Indian market, the Bolt will be the next product from the Tata stable to try its luck with the renewed face.

The people at Tata Motors say that the design of the Bolt is a culmination of three Tata Motors design studios - Pune (India), Coventry (UK), and Turin (Italy), though for us it still has a lot of 'Indicaness' in its genes and that is hard to overlook.

The Bolt will come with both the petrol and diesel powertrains. The petrol 1.2-litre turbocharged Multi-point Fuel Injection (MPFi) Petrol Engine, REVOTRON 1.2T will make its way into the hatchback and will come with a Multi drive system just like in the Zest. With three modes: Sport, City, Eco, Tata Motors will be looking at fuel efficiency and power as the biggest USP.

The diesel variant comes with a powerful 75bhp churning 1.3-litre engine, which has been tried and tested. The Bolt also gets an advance 9th generation ABS by Bosch and Corner Stability Control (CSC), adds to the safety features of the vehicle.

Customers can book the Bolt online by making a payment of Rs. 11,000.
