Highlights

Hong Kong-based EV maker, Hybrid Kinetic Group, has recently released new teaser images of its upcoming coupe concept - HK GT. Designed by the iconic Italian design house Pininfarina, the new HK GT concept will be making its global debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show 2018. As of now, the company has released just a couple of teaser images of the car giving us a glimpse of the rear three quarters and the cabin of the new HK GT. While as of now the companies haven't revealed anything further, we know that the new HK GT will be a two-door, four-seater coupe concept.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that these two companies have come together for a project. In fact, this is the fourth time that Pininfarina and Hybrid Kinetic Group have conceived a car together in the last one year. Back at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the companies showcased the luxury sedan H600, followed by the unveiling of the five-seater SUV K550 and seven-seater SUV K750 at the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show. And now, we finally have the fourth product - the HK GT.

On the design front, Pininfarina says that the new HK GT concept, interprets a classic architecture of the Italian automobile school, the Gran Turismo while continuing to refine the identity and the formal language of the Hybrid Kinetic brand. Pininfarina also responds once again to the need for zero emissions combining stylistic research with environmental sustainability.

In terms of tech specs and other details, the companies haven't shared anything else, but it has been confirmed that the key feature of the new HK GT will be the cutting-edge HK powertrain technology, comprising of a battery, electric motors, electrical controller and range extender. However, this same technology was featured in HKG's K550 and K750 SUVs and H600 saloon concepts as well. The powertrain promises to come with powerful battery packs, which can offer a range of up to 1000 km, with 50,000-charge-cycle lifespans. Other details will be confirmed at the Geneva Motor Show 2018, which is slated to begin on March 8.
