- The Hyundai Grand i10 was first launched in 2013.
- You can get a used Grand i10 for Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh.
The Hyundai Grand i10 has been a popular product in the compact hatchback space. Right now, the company is selling the latest-gen model, which was rechristened as Grand i10 Nios, which comes with a more stylish design, premium fit and finish and new features. However, the previous-gen Grand i10 was not a bad car for its time either. You can still find one in the used car market and it could be a good option for anyone looking for a spacious and capable hatchback on a budget. But before you start scouting for one here are some pros and cons you should consider first.
Depending on the model year and condition, you can get a used Grand i10 for around Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh.
Pros
- The Hyundai Grand i10 is quite a spacious hatchback and can seat 4 adults with ease. Depending on the model you get, the car also gets decent features like LED DRLs, alloy wheels, a touchscreen infotainment system and more.
- The Grand i10 came with the choice of both petrol and diesel engines, and the former also featured an optional 4-speed automatic unit. Hyundai also had a CNG version on offer.
- The car has been on sale in the market since 2013, so you will be no shortage of options in the used car space. Depending on the model year and condition, you can get one for around Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh.
Most premium features we mentioned above are only available with the top-end trim. So
Cons
- While looks are subjective, we think the old Grand i10 was not the best-looking car. The car also missed out on features like projector headlamps or LED taillights.
- While the cabin was certainly spacious, the interior design is quite dated. Even the materials and the plastic quality used inside were also not the best.
- Most premium features we mentioned above are only available with the top-end trim. So, if those are your priority, then your options will be fewer. Also, even the top-end trims of slightly older Grand i10 did not come with some of these features.
