Rolls Royce Spectre EV Leaked On The Road

- The new electric car will be based on the Wraith
- In fact, the leaked prototype looks like an updated Wraith
- It will launch some time in 2023 as per the company itself
Rolls Royce has already announced that it will be soon entering the electric car space. It has also shown off a new "spirit of ecstasy" ornament for the age of electric propulsion. Its incoming electric car which will be called the Spectre has also been leaked as a camouflaged version of the car was seen in the wild, perhaps running road tests. The car which has been dubbed as replacement for the Wraith was seen in a prototype state and captured by Motor1.com in Sweden.

On expected lines, the car is replete with a full body camouflage so that the design is not easy to spot and it retains the iconic Rolls Royce front grille. Based on the photos, Kolesa.ru has also shown off renders of the car from all angles. It truly looks like a modernised Wraith sharing the latest template of luxury that the British automaker has shown off with the Ghost and Phantom. The Wraith was previously based on BMW's technology.
At this point in time, since the car is slated to launch officially next year, pin pointing the final design will be difficult. This could be either a working prototype or a mule car. But from whatever is on display so far, it looks like a refreshed Wraith. Rolls Royce has grand ambitions for the electric power train as its silent nature is perfect for its ultra luxurious brand.
BMW itself has seen some success in recent times with its EVs and Rolls Royce backed by the pandemic has seen its best ever quarter in its history.
