Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Likely To Be Available in Three Variants

Royal Enfield is set to debut the new Hunter 350 in the coming days. Ahead of its debut, new details have emerged about the variants of the upcoming motorcycle. While there is little left to talk about in terms of styling with near-production models having been spied recently with wire-spoke and alloy wheels, the motorcycle is expected to go on sale in three variants.
As per details leaked online, the base Hunter 350 will be called the Retro and will get you bits such as 17-inch wire-spoke wheels, single-channel ABS, a 300 mm front disc brake, a drum brake at the rear and conventional bulbs in the light clusters. The bike is also expected to lack a main stand and get a simpler instrument cluster as compared to higher variants. The variant is expected to only be available in two colours – Silver and Black.

The higher-spec Metro meanwhile is expected to get you 17-inch alloy wheels, an instrument cluster shared with the Meteor, front and rear disc brakes, dual-channel ABS, LED tail-lamp and shared switchgear with the Meteor. The Metro is also expected to get meatier tyres at 110/70 and 140/70 front and rear respectively as against the Retro’s 100/80 and 120/80 front and rear. The Metro is expected to come in White, Ash and Grey exterior colours. Also expected is a Metro Rebel variant which will be offered in Blue, Red and Black with revised graphics though other kit is expected to be shared with the Metro trim.
Coming to the engine, a type approval document reveals that the 350cc J-Series engine used by the bike will develop an identical 20.2 bhp as it does in the Classic and Meteor with torque also likely to be a similar 27 Nm. The 5-speed gearbox is also likely to be retained from the Classic 350 and the Meteor 350. Both variants are expected to come with a 13-litre fuel tank with the Retro weighing in at around 177 kg and the Metro 181 kg.
