While the launches of the Slavia and Kushaq played a key role in the company’s best-ever year in 2022, for 2025, it's the all-new Kylaq subcompact SUV that has taken the driver’s seat. Launched at the start of the year, the Kylaq marked Skoda’s return to the subcompact market for the first time since the Fabia hatchback and its first-ever subcompact SUV for the Indian market.

The SUV has seen a strong start to its India innings with Skoda saying that sales of the Kylaq are close to touching the 40,000 unit mark, or about 60 per cent of all cars sold this year so far. The company also said that it was seeing consistent demand for the remainder of its India 2.0 range - the Slavia and Kushaq as well, while the Kodiaq too was bringing new buyers to the brand.
The brand earlier in the year also celebrated the rollout of 5 lakh locally manufactured cars - a milestone that the brand crossed almost 24 years after the first model rolled out from its plant in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (formerly Aurangabad) in 2001.
