Skoda Kushaq Bookings Cross 20,000 Mark, Sales Growth Boosted From Network Expansion

- Skoda Auto India garnered over 20,000 bookings for the Kushaq
- The company has expanded in the South by 84% over last year
- Skoda is gearing up to introduce the Slavia & Kodiaq facelift in 2022
Skoda Auto India has announced that the Kushaq compact SUV bookings have crossed the 20,000 units mark since its launch. The offering went on sale in June this year and the booking numbers have been steadily rising for the model. Skoda says that the rise in volumes has been a result of the carmaker's aggressive expansion of its network, particularly in South India. The Czech automaker's customer touchpoints have grown by 84 per cent in the southern market over the last year, where the dealer network grew from 38 touchpoints in 2020 to 70 touchpoints in 2021. This rapid expansion of the dealerships in the south has resulted in 90 per cent growth in sales across the southern region, the company said.

The Skoda Kushaq garnered over 10,000 bookings in September this year, the next 10,000 arrive a little over 3 months later
Speaking about the strong volumes, Zac Hollis, Brand Director - Skoda Auto India said, "Southern India is one of the most important markets for us and is vital to our growth strategy. While the industry faced headwinds in the recent past, this growth is testimony to our focused expansion plan. The inauguration of these new facilities is an important part to deliver on our business objectives and will offer customers best-in-class services at their convenience. It isn't mere coincidence that just as our expansion strategy is spreading its wings, our newer products like the Kushaq, which has crossed 20,000 bookings, are finding new homes quicker."
