Tata Tiago Facelift Spotted Testing

- The Tata Tiago will get a mid-life update this year.

It's been almost three years since Tata Motors launched the Tiago hatchback in India and we told you recently, that the updated version is in the works. The Tata Tiago will get a mid-life update this year and a test mule has been spotted on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. We already know that the new Tiago will get design updates similar to the Tata Altroz and will embody Tata's new IMPACT 2.0 design language. The changes will be made predominantly to its face while the rear will be updated modestly.

Major changes will be made to the front of the Tata Altroz.Similar to the Altroz, the almost spherical front will get the conjoined grille and headlamps which look like a single unit. The car will also get a sportier looking front bumper with new fog lamp units. The profile overall remains the same while we expect the dual-tone alloy wheels which was offered as an option on the top-spec XZ+ trim to be standard on the top variant. The picture also reveals that the rear of the car will see least changes which will be limited to the bumper, a larger license plate housing to be precise.
The Tata Tiago facelift will get a bunch of feature updates including projector headlamps and LED daytime running lamps.The Tata Tiago facelift is expected to come with a bunch of feature updates including projector headlamps, LED daytime running lamps and LED taillamps while there could be a new touchscreen infotainment unit on the inside which will feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also expect safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors to be standard across the range on the onset of the upcoming safety regulations.

The upcoming Tata Tiago is most likely to be a petrol-only model as the company has taken a final call on the 1.0-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine currently powering the Tiago is a 1.2-litre Revotron motor which makes 84 bhp at 6000 rpm and 114 Nm of peak torque at 3500 rpm.
