Use the Air Conditioner Every Day
Most individuals consider that using the aircon for less time will improve its service. However, the air vents and mechanisms in your car's AC will perform well only if you use them regularly. Even if you do not use the car frequently, take the car out and let the AC run for 10-15 mins every week.
Park Your Vehicle Under the Shade
Parking the car in the shade is a no-brainer. A sunny parking spot can heat the AC's mechanism and the vehicle's interior. Try to find a basement or covered area for your car. In this way, your car's cabin will remain as cool as possible.
Keep an Eye on Refrigerant Level
You might not be aware, but the car's AC will work well if the refrigerant level is high. If you want your car's AC to sufficiently cool the cabin on a scorching hot day, keep an eye on the refrigerant level. You can check the refrigerant level each time you take your car for a service.

Opt for Routine AC Servicing
Whether or not you use your car's AC frequently requires routine maintenance and servicing. The mechanics of the AC will maintain the best performance with regular upkeep and servicing. Besides, getting service before the summer season approaches is better as you will need the AC a lot.
Shut Down the AC Properly
The way you switch your car's AC also affects its performance in the long run. It is necessary to turn off the AC before switching off the ignition. Allow the fan to run for a while to let the evaporator dry. This step prevents the build-up of bacteria and foul smells in your cabin and makes sure the AC switches off correctly.
Ventilate the Car At All Times
You must ventilate the car sufficiently to avoid the interiors getting overheated. Before turning on the aircon in your vehicle, make sure the cabin is sufficiently ventilating so the temperature in it returns to ambient atmosphere levels. You can run the car idle with the AC on for a while. Leave the windows and doors ajar to allow the hot air to escape.
