Top 5 Cars Featured in Movies in 2015

2015 saw quite a few fancy cars star in movies, from the sleek to the downright radical. Films like the Spectre, Furious 7, etc., featured spectacular cars, which, on quite a few occasions, managed to overshadow lead actors and just about everything else in the movie. Add action sequences and scintillating car chase scenes into the mix, and it's the stuff that every auto enthusiast generally dreams about.
Here, we take a look at the top 5 cars which featured in movies in 2015:
1. Aston Martin DB10 (Spectre)

The super-sleek Aston Martin DB10 driven by Daniel Craig's James Bond in Spectre borrows its chassis and 430bhp 4.7-litre V8 engine from the British carmaker's V8 Vantage S. The car is packed with gadgets and features, which include a rear-facing flamethrower, a machine gun, seat ejector, etc. Only 10 units of the car have been produced - exclusively for Spectre - by a dedicated team at Aston Martin's Gaydon headquarters in the UK. Aston Martin has also confirmed that it won't be selling the DB10 as a production model.
2. Jaguar C-X75 (Spectre)

The Jaguar C-X75, driven by the villainous henchman 'Mr Hinx' in Spectre, can give any supercar a run for its money. In fact, quite a few fans prefer it over Bond's Aston Martin DB10. The C-X75 produces a massive 850hp power using a 1.6-litre turbo and supercharged four-cylinder engine paired with an electric drive system. With mean looks to boot, this car is just plain 'scary'. Sadly though, Jaguar has said that the C-X75 won't see the light of production, but we sincerely hope they change their mind.
3. W Motors Lykan Hypersport (Furious 7)

The Lykan Hypersport from W Motors, which featured in Furious 7, is an almost unreal car. Referred to as Arabia's first supercar, only 7 units of the model exist, and each one sells for about $3.4 million. Powered by a 3.7-litre twin-turbo flat six engine, the Lykan Hypersport offers 770bhp of peak power and 960Nm of torque. It has a top-speed of 385Km/h and can go from standstill to 100Km/h in just 2.8 seconds. What makes the car even more special is that its lights are made of white gold, diamonds, and blue sapphires. Considered one of the most exclusive cars in the world, the Lykan Hypersport is also the most expensive car to feature in the Fast and Furious franchise.
4. Dodge Charger (Furious 7)

The 1970 Dodge Charger is Dominic Toretto's (played by Vin Diesel) signature car in the movie. In Furious 7, the 900 horsepower supercharged V8 Dodge Charger gets some special treatment, with a secret military group modifying it with an off-road kit and body armour. Toretto's Charger was introduced in the first film in the series - The Fast and the Furious; it belonged to the character's father.
5. Ford XB GT Falcon Coupe (Mad Max: Fury Road)

Mad Max's Interceptor car, seen with the lead character which is played by Tom Hardy, made brief appearances in the movie. A 1974 Ford XB GT Falcon Coupe powered by a supercharged 5.8-litre V8 engine, the car was produced by Ford Australia between 1973 and 1976. In Mad Max: Fury Road, the Interceptor is souped up with an off-road racing buggy kit, four-wheel drive, a modified engine, a new chassis, and lots of new weaponry.
Special Mention: Aston Martin DB5 (Spectre)

The Aston Martin DB5 has featured in almost every Bond film, Goldfinger onwards, and there is nothing new about it in Spectre as well, with the car making a brief appearance in the movie. However, we feel that this list is incomplete without a mention of probably the most iconic movie car of all time. The DB5 has fantastic looks, oozes class, uses a powerful 282bhp 4.0-litre engine, and is also full of nifty gadgets. It's a legend in its own right and is probably the one car most people associate 007 with.
