Skoda Auto India recently launched the new fourth-generation Octavia in India. The executive sedan is offered in two variants - Style and Laurin & Klement (L&K). The base Style variant is priced at Rs. 25.99 lakh, while the range-topping L&K variant is priced at 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom). With this price tag, the sedan is substantially more expensive than its predecessor. The 2021 Skoda Octavia is locally assembled at the Volkswagen's facility in Aurangabad.
Here are the top 5 highlights of the recently launched 2021 Skoda Octavia:

1. The 2021 Skoda Octavia is longer and wider than the outgoing model. The sedan boasts a new Skoda grille which is flanked by sleeker LED headlights with LED DRLs. It also gets fog lights with corner function, new Black Pulsar 17-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights with crystalline elements and dynamic turn indicator and more. It comes in three standard colours - Lava Blue, Candy White and Magic Black. While Brilliant Silver and Maple Brown shades are reserved for the Laurin & Klement trim.

2. The cabin of the new-generation Octavia is plush with quality levels matching that of the entry-level German luxury cars. It gets a black and beige dual-tone colour theme that adds premium character to the cabin and seats are draped in suede leather.

3. The new Octavia is longer and wider by 20 mm and 19 mm respectively. It measures 4689 mm in length, 1829 mm in width and 1469 mm in height (unchanged). The wheelbase stands at 2680 mm which is 2 mm shorter than the outgoing model.

4. As for features, the sedan comes loaded with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, Virtual Cockpit system, wireless charging, 12-speaker Canton audio system, dual-zone climate control, an electrically adjustable driver's seat and more.

5. The 2021 Skoda Octavia comes powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine. It is tuned to put out 188 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with the 7-speed DSG automatic as standard. The sedan can clock triple-digit speeds in 6.9 seconds.
