Top Car Chases in Bollywood Over the Years

- Bollywood movies have often portrayed exciting car chases
- Several acclaimed movies make it to this list mix of old & new
- From Kick to Khiladi 420, there are some surprises for fans!
Here is a list of the most popular Bollywood car chases over the years:
Kick
This movie is relatively newer although it has one of the longest car chase sequences in all of Bollywood. The filmmaker has already revealed that they continuously shot the action to achieve this milestone, not taking any breathers for several minutes!
Sivaji
Sivaji has a fantastic chase sequence that defies logic but is still enjoyable all the same! Imagine a drive-in movie with the heroine which goes wrong when multiple cars start attacking you and ramming into your vehicle and thereafter, they start attacking further with weapons. Sounds exciting right? You bet! The scene ends with Rajinikanth smashing through all the villainous cars and speeding his way through!
Race 2

This one is famous for its chase sequence where the Audi TT is being driven super-fast amidst traffic, while there is a guy below the car who is attempting to get hold of a bomb tied to the vehicle.
Ra One
This sequence is spine-chilling and will have the hero driving right through not any regular bus but a double-decker bus casually!
Baazigar
Yes, in case you have forgotten, SRK did slip into the shoes of a racing car driver in the movie, winning against Kajol's dad Dalip Tahil (real names used here) before uttering his famous dialogue Haar ke jeetne wale ko Baazigar kehte hain. The racing car sequence is definitely exciting.
Singham
This one wins brownie points for sheer appeal! Ajay Devgan starts chasing a vehicle in a parking lot with a first-gen Mahindra Scorpio, overtaking it in a parallel lane and then sliding the SUV by 180 degrees and getting out of the vehicle. The SUV comes to a stop all by itself. The hero then shoots the front tyre, sending the car spinning in the air and grabs the rogue driver. The Scorpio lands on its roof and the villain is captured!

Khiladi 420
The hero of the movie Akshay Kumar chases the villain who is driving a car, on roller blades and then latches onto the car through an anchor. He is chased by the henchmen of the villain. Akshay Kumar then kicks the driver right out of the windshield. Cars explode and burn while the hero hangs on and manages to cross the fire and exploding vehicles, leaping onto the roof and hood of the villain's Maruti 1000. He then breaks the windshield for catching the villain.
Taarzan
The Wonder Car- Car sequences in Bollywood are incomplete without mentioning this marvel. The 2004 movie had Ajay Devgan as the designer of the Wonder Car. The movie had a scene where the car plunged over the cliff after getting hit by a jeep. After breaking into pieces, the car started repairing itself with flying components rushing to join each other, as if through a supernatural force. Then the car went to rescue the leading man Vatsal Seth in the sea and ran on water as well!

All the Best
This movie had a car race where the actors were competing for winning the prize money. Ajay Devgan is a car designer and he modifies the engine by including nitrous oxide. The car in this scene was the Toyota Celica from 1990. The engine gets upgraded and ultimately the car gets a nitrous boost during the race. However, the pressure proves too much, with the front portion breaking away from the cabin and moving for some time. The hero also loses the race eventually.
