Sajeev Rajasekharan, EVP, Sales and Marketing, SMIPL said, "For FY 2017-18, Suzuki Two-wheelers is targeting a sale of 5.00,000 units. Buoyed by the impressive festive-season performance, we continue to hold a positive outlook in the coming months as well. Not only are we on the threshold of surpassing its FY 2016-17 sales-performance of 3,50,000 units in over 7 months, but now carry a very strong momentum as we work towards ramping-up our product line-up and expanding the dealership networks."
The company is all set to launch its new 150 cc cruiser motorcycle in India on 7 November, 2017. In all probability, it will be called the Intruder 150. It will be having the same engine as the Suzuki Gixxer and will be taking its design and styling cues from its bigger sibling, the Intruder M1800. Suzuki has a rather compact range of two-wheelers in India and the company is keen on expanding its range in India, up first with the new Intruder 150. The company will also be looking to expand its footprint in India in the coming months.
